Candy Crush is so 2013. Why not start the new year with a new addictive app? Words of Wonder is a fabulously presented tile clearing game that involves making words of three or more letters. Each level has set goals (make 10 words for example) that need to be completed within certain limits (set number of moves for example). There are currently 165 levels to achieve with the possibility of more to come in the future. Fantastic for children who are learning to spell and also for older kids and adults. Another great free Disney delight.

The most recent update of Words of Wonder has given the app a wintry feel, which is perfect for snow days when you are stuck inside for the day. This app will not only keep your children occupied, but it will keep their brain warmed up ready for when they go back to school. Three letter words are good, but the longer the word, the more points are awarded so the challenge is create words with blends, digraphs and dipthongs. Bonuses awarded during game play motivate children to increase their word length, and also help to clear the tiles.
