To promote reading in young children, individual words are highlighted during the story narration, and audio and written descriptions of characters or objects are displayed when the reader touches their pictures. Professional narration, background audio and enlarged artwork for each scene add to the story's appeal. By combining the original text and artwork with features that entertain and promote reading, this interactive electronic book attracts children of all ages.
Readers have the choice of having the story read to them while controlling page turning by swiping their finger across the screen, reading it themselves, or having the story run in auto-play mode.
Story Line
"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you." -Matthew 7:12
In "The Berenstain Bears' Christmas Tree," finding the perfect tree is very important for Papa Bear and his cubs. While hunting for that one special tree, the family meets up with the animals that live in the trees, and the family learns an important lesson.
As the story unfolds, Papa, Brother, and Sister Bear, realize that the trees are perfect homes for the animals, and they show kindness and love for their fellow Bear Country friends by not cutting their home down. In the end the animals from the forest work together to thank the Bear Family in a wonderful and unique way.
Trusted History of the Berenstain Series
With over 300 Berenstain Bears books published since 1962, the inspiration for the characters came from the Berenstains' sons, Leo and Mike, when their parents decided to try creating children's books. The first book became The Big Honey Hunt, published in 1962 by Dr. Seuss's Beginner Books imprint. The popularity of the books subsequently spawned numerous child-friendly television shows and computer games.
