This might be the most exciting development for Android apps for kids for 2013. My PlayHome Stores is the latest offering from Shimon Young and is a perfect complement to his other app, My PlayHome. You need to see how good these apps are! Not just the concept, but the fabulous artwork and such attention to detail. The background sounds, as well as the sounds of the items being played with are spot on. Then there are all the other little things that "work" in the app, just to satisfy children's curiosity. This is such a wonderful digital toy and I would gift it to everyone if I could.

Not only does this app complement My PlayHome by having the same characters, but it also merges seamlessly as the player moves from one app to the other by travelling down the street, from house to store and back again. My PlayHome Stores can also be used as a stand-alone app, but if the apps are to be used in conjunction with each other, My PlayHome must have the update to allow movement from one app to the other. To top it off, there is now a night-time option for the apps, allowing the characters to shop at night, and your kids will not feel weird from putting the child characters to bed while the sun is still up.
There is so much fun to be had playing with the characters and items in this app, your child will be lost in the PlayHome world for hours if you let them! This is the perfect app for long car trips and an absolutely fabulous idea for a "stocking stuffer" if you're looking for an extra little something for your nieces or nephews.
