Rovio's latest offering, Angry Birds Go! has just been released across all platforms. For those that are used to the Angry Birds apps, this one may throw you a bit. Rather than their usual physics based type of app, this one is more of an arcade game that involves the Angry Birds racing against the Bad Piggies, Mario Kart style. Typical of Rovio, this app is fantastically presented, super fun, addictive and a must-download.

Similar to LEGO Pullback Racers, the racing vehicle in Angry Birds Go! is launched by pulling back on a slingshot. As the kart races along, a boost option appears which gives the vehicle extra power. Coins are collected along the way and spent on vehicle upgrades, with each kart having slightly different features. Although premium gaming currency is available as an in-app purchase, it is not necessary to purchase to be able to play the game. In-app purchases can be disabled, and parental control apps can block them too.
A cool feature of this app is the Toons TV which has channels that contain a selection of cartoons and short clips for kids, such as Angry Birds, scenes from Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, National Geographic Kids and Zig & Shark . The absolute best feature of this app, however, would be the Telepods, such as those used in Angry Birds Star Wars II. Telepods allow the player to import their favorite characters into the game, although you will need to check if your device is supported by visiting the link given in the app description below.
