Each page has interactive animations, plus diamonds to find (parts of the armor of God), and there are comprehension questions to check children's understanding of the text. To help your children understand the reason for the Christmas season, Bible For Kids simply explains the events surrounding Jesus' birth. The story is narrated (which can be turned off), with the option to move the text off the screen, but the comprehension questions will require an adult to read if your children are not at that level. It is a good excuse to share a book reading with your kids, as you further discuss the story and its relevance to your own family.
As children read the stories in Bible For Kids, awards are given in the form of stars, for achievements such as correctly answering questions, completing a set of armor, reading each story 10 times and downloading different stories (each story must be downloaded - for free - before being read). The armor of God collections are displayed along with a link to the text in Ephesians of the YouVersion Bible App. Every story has a link to the original text if you want to explore the story more, or read more of the Bible to get context. Aside from the option to turn narration off, there is also the option to turn off background music and stories can also be deleted (handy for when all achievements are accomplished).
